About Me

Originally from Cornwall in the southwest area of England, Deborah Schlener emigrated to the United States almost 20 years ago and feels fortunate to have found her slice of paradise, living on Anna Maria Island for the past 12 years while spending time throughout the year in Minnesota. In her journey as a Realtor®, she always hopes to help buyers find the place where they feel like they belong, that special place that feels just right.

Deborah’s strong background in retail and sales gives her a solid understanding of working with clients and providing feedback that will address their specific needs. Her experience as an area display manager gave her a flair for enhancing the ambiance of a room and her role as a senior administrator developed her organizational skills and ability to multitask while being detail-oriented. Always striving to do her best, Deborah is passionate about fostering honesty, integrity, reliability and gratitude in her work while creating a relationship of mutual trust and understanding among all parties. Deborah believes firmly in sharing communal knowledge and experience and is thrilled to be part of an elite team of professionals with Michael Saunders & Company.

In her downtime, Deborah enjoys staying connected within her neighborhood, including helping with various beautification and enhancement projects. You can also find her on the water paddling her kayak with her husband, Peter, and first mate, Winston Churchill – her 8-year-old King Charles Cavalier. She is a keen gardener, quilter and enjoys being involved with her community.
